What's Included in the $1,499.99 Multi-Step Polish + Ceramic Service

Most ceramic coating "deals" you see advertised are coating-only on a freshly washed car. Ours isn't — it's a complete 3-day paint perfection process. Here's exactly what we do.

Day 1 — Preparation & Decontamination

  • Full exterior detail — thorough hand wash using pH-neutral shampoo, two-bucket method, microfiber wash mitts. No automatic car wash, no harsh chemicals.
  • Iron removal — chemical iron remover dissolves brake-dust contamination embedded in the clear coat. You'll see it turn purple as it works.
  • Tar removal — targeted dissolving of road tar and adhesive contaminants.
  • Clay bar treatment — pulls bonded contaminants off the paint surface. After clay, your paint should feel like glass.
  • Surface prep wipe-down — isopropyl alcohol wipe to remove any polish oils and prepare a clean bond surface.

Day 2 — Multi-Step Paint Correction + Ceramic Coating Application

This is where we differ from most shops. Many places lock you into a "multi-step polish" that runs the same heavy compound on every panel. We don't. We use the right combination for each panel based on what's actually there:

  • Heavy correction (when needed): Wet sanding with 2000 → 2500 → 3000 → 5000 grit, then cut polish, medium polish, fine polish. Only used where there are real scratches or heavy oxidation.
  • Medium correction: Cut compound + medium polish + fine polish. For panels with moderate swirls or marring.
  • Light correction: Just fine polish. For panels that are already in good shape and only need gloss enhancement.
  • Different combinations across the car: Hood might need a heavy correction, while doors only need a light polish. We treat each panel based on what it needs.
  • Why this matters: Cutting more clear coat than necessary shortens the life of your paint. Common sense says you remove the lightest possible amount that still gets the result.
  • Complimentary touch-ups — any chips or small marks we encounter, we apply matched touch-up paint and polish over. Included in the package, no extra charge.
  • Final IPA wipe-down — thorough chemical wipe to remove all polish residue. Ceramic doesn't bond to dirty paint.
  • Ceramic coating application — coating applied in controlled climate, panel by panel, leveled and buffed properly. Most shops rush this. We don't.

Day 3 — Curing & Final Inspection

  • Controlled curing — the coating sits and cures in a controlled environment so it bonds and hardens properly. This is the reason it's a 3-day service rather than something we rush in a few hours.
  • Final inspection — under multiple lighting conditions to confirm a flawless finish with no high spots, streaks, or missed areas.
  • Aftercare guidance — you leave knowing how to maintain your coating to get the full life out of it.

Why Get a Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating is a clear, hardened resin that bonds to your clear coat at a molecular level. The benefits compound over years.

💧

Hydrophobic Surface

Water sheets off your paint instead of pooling. Less water spotting, easier rinse-only washes, faster drying.

🛡️

Scratch & Swirl Resistance

Much harder than your factory clear coat. Doesn't make your car bulletproof, but light scratching from washing or normal handling is dramatically reduced.

☀️

UV & Chemical Resistance

UV radiation, bird droppings, tree sap, road salt — all etch your paint over time. Ceramic creates a sacrificial barrier that takes the hit instead.

Long-Lasting Gloss

The coating optically enhances the polish underneath. Your paint stays glossy for years, not weeks like wax.

🧽

Easier Maintenance

Dirt and contaminants struggle to bond to the surface. Quicker washes, less product needed, fewer chemicals.

$

Better Resale Value

A ceramic-coated vehicle that's been maintained shows much better than a 5-year-old finish with weather damage. Real impact at trade-in.

Frequently Asked Questions

3-day complete process: (1) Full exterior detail wash — (2) Iron and tar decontamination — (3) Clay bar treatment — (4) IPA prep wipe — (5) Common-sense multi-step paint correction (wet sand 2000-5000 grit + cut/medium/fine polish, OR lighter combos depending on what each panel needs) — (6) Complimentary touch-ups on small chips/marks — (7) Ceramic coating application in controlled environment — (8) Curing time — (9) Final inspection under multiple lighting conditions.

Most shops apply the same heavy compound to every panel. We don't. Each panel gets the lightest correction combination that still removes the damage — because cutting more clear coat than necessary shortens the life of your paint. Some panels get full wet sanding + cut + medium + fine polish. Others only need a fine polish. We assess what each panel needs and treat it accordingly.

Depends on the product tier we apply and how the vehicle is maintained. Properly maintained, expect multi-year protection. We'll go over expected lifespan during your consultation based on your driving conditions and wash routine.

No — honest answer. It dramatically reduces light scratching from washing, dust, and normal contact, but it won't stop deep keys or stone chips on a highway. For impact protection too, look at Paint Protection Film (PPF).

Paint correction is always required before ceramic coating — including on brand new vehicles. Here's why: the coating bonds to and locks in whatever surface state your paint is in. If there are swirl marks, marring, or imperfections underneath, the coating seals them in for years — you can't fix them later without stripping the coating off.

Even "new" vehicles have surface defects from factory transport, dealer prep washes, and lot handling. The $799.99 New Vehicle service includes a light prep polish to remove these — not a full multi-step correction, but it's not skipped. Used vehicles get the full multi-step correction in the $1,499.99 service. Either way, correction comes first, coating second.

Because doing it right takes time. Decontamination and prep is a half-day. Multi-step paint correction across a full vehicle is a full day minimum. Coating application and proper curing in a controlled environment is another day. Shops that promise "ceramic coating in 4 hours" are skipping critical steps that affect how the coating bonds and how long it lasts.

Mainly: avoid automatic car washes (they swirl-mark right through any coating), use pH-neutral shampoo, two-bucket method, microfiber wash mitts. We provide aftercare guidance and recommended products when you pick up your vehicle. Periodic boosters extend the life of the coating.
